Mystery Dog Goes Missing for Weeks, Turns Up Hundreds of Miles from Home
Another happy ending brought to you by a microchip.
He’s being called a miracle dog. A four year old Shih Tzu named “Buddy” disappeared from his Mississippi home several weeks ago, only to show up (mysteriously) hundreds of miles away in Missouri. How he got to St. Louis is unknown. A resident “just” discovered the dog in her front yard. In an interview with Fox2, Buddy’s owner expresses thanks for his return, and more than a little bit of confusion over his whereabouts for the past few weeks.

That is confusing. It kinda sounds like he was dognapped originally, but that doesn’t explain his being out loose to be discovered later. Anyway, I’m so very glad he got found.
lotsa licks, Lola
I’m glad to read another great microchip story. I’m glad that Buddy made it home!
I can’t understand my friends who don’t chip their dogs or their horses, especially after our recent big fires that separated lots of humans from their animals…
UMMMMMMM I’m thinking someone might have helped Buddy in his travels….
then they decided he was TOO smart and TOO much dog for them to handle.
What an Incredible Journey!!!!

Wouldn’t it be nice to know the whole story of this pupnapping! So glad there was a microchip involved.

Just never know what can happen when an animal turns up missing. Glad this story has a happy ending.
If only dogs could write books. They would be assured best sellers.
I had a little kitty who disappeared once. I always secretly hoped he’d come back but deep down inside, I always knew he wouldn’t. I’ve always wondered what happened to him.
