Bottoms Up

This dog is utterly insane – in the best way possible.

And now you know why they won’t get him a trampoline.

It may not be as strange as you think. Foxes and other wild dogs hunt for mice in this fashion. They listen for mice and other rodents under the leaf litter or snow. As the sound in pinpointed the canine will leap at it in this manner to flush it out of its hiding place. :)

Here is a video displaying the hunting behavior. It is so interesting to see wild behaviors in our domestic dogs. http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/episodes/christmas-in-yellowstone/video-red-fox-hunts-mice/4457/

My buddy’s Mastiff does this in the back yard. Slams right into the concrete or the grass. I also believe it’s a thing left over from hunting in the wild.
