The bowl isn’t totally empty, there’s still a little in the bottom. He’s working on that though! I know when my girls’ auto waterer is getting low when they push it across the kitchen floor with their noses and I hear the bottom squeaking across the wood.
My Aimee girl (retired greyhound) did the same thing last night. She had a water bowl near one of her dog beds and she stretched out just enough to reach the bowl with her tongue.

Absolutely gorgeous fawn doberman, also. Additionally, that is one of the nicest ear crops I have ever seen. All ear crops should look this good.
