It’s amazing how much things change in a short time. My family’s first dog was a hunting dog who thought game included people and sought to kill everything that moved so she could deliver it proudly to my Dad. My parents’ third dog was the same breed, German Shorthaired Pointer, but liked cats and disdained all other dogs. She thought she was human and sat at the dinner table with my parents. How does that instinct of wanting to kill things go out of an animal?
