I only throw Jacks toys out after he has destuffed, dismembered & lastly takes it outside & pees on it. Usually that’s a strong indication that he is done with them.
This is the exact opposite to Maddie and the rooster soft toy that I gave her. Rooster was an abandoned soft toy that my neighbour’s partner found up in my attic so as Tarragon has Eeyore which she loves to hump I gave Rooster to Maddie but she dosen’t like it I put in her hide out the old drawer under my bed but she abandoned poor Rooster there and sleeps in the dog bed in the corner !
My basset destroys his toys very quickly, but he has one stuffed bear that he carries around and uses as a pillow when he sleeps. He will not destroy it. He goes insane when the other dog takes it or I take it away for a few hours to throw it in the wash.
Love this. Our Lab was so good to her toys that when she died last year at 14 years old, she still had the stuffed animals from when we adopted her at 8 weeks old. She was such a good dog and unlike most Labs, never chewed on anything of ours; not shoes or my bunny shaped slippers, or even food that fell on the floor unless we gave it to her. She would chew on Nylabones but her stuffed Pink Elephant and other soft toys she loved so much but didn’t want to destroy them; they gave her comfort.
Bella still has her 2 first toys (8 years old now) and dog forbid me for trying to get rid of them few times before! She literally sulks if I take them away!
My cocker spaniel, Dukie (now gone), loved stuffed penguins – not just any stuffed penguin – the ones I used to get at Walgreens for $1. He would pull off the eyes, then chew off the nose and eventually pull all the stuffing out. But he soooo loved them, he would carry around the empty carcass until we bought him a new one. Ask him where his pengawin was and he’d run and find it and bring it to you. lol.
maybe politician’s could take a que from this. i so would prefer to vote for a candidate that i liked, and actually had some ideas other than i am better than that guy or woman. next election same old same old i think we need to look at politicians just like we need to look at, long term employment, both in job creation and long lasting jobs. we need thirty year jobs.
