Would you risk your life to save your pet? Tom Robinson of Kennebunk, Maine says the answer to that question is a resounding ‘yes’.
Robinson let his dog Tipper out around 10:30 on Thursday night and watched in horror as a coyote emerged from the forest bordering their property and snatched the Jack Russell terrier. Fearing for Tipper’s life, Robinson said his protective instincts kicked in when he chased the coyote, caught up to it, and wrested his pet from the jaws of its captor with his bare hands.
Vets say his actions saved Tipper – the dog was critically injured in the attack and would likely have died within minutes. The humble pet owner describes the incident in an interview with WCSH, and says there was no other option; Robinson says Tipper is more than just a pet – he is family.
