Pit Bull stolen from animal shelter is returned after 2 day search

Dozer, a three-year-old pit bull, was stolen from the Atteboro Animal Shelter in Massachusetts on Friday night. Dozer has been a resident of the shelter for 14 months. The shelter volunteers spent all weekend posting fliers all over southeastern Massachusetts and into Rhode Island, searching for the beloved dog. On Sunday morning Dozer was found and shelter volunteers went and picked him up in Providence, Rhode Island. Read more

UPDATE: Owner of Missy, dog left stranded on a Colorado mountain, has agreed to give her to one of her rescuers.

Anthony Ortolani left his 5-year-old German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix, Missy, behind at 13,000 feet when he was hiking between Mount Bierstadt and Mount Evans in Colorado. Missy survived for 8 days before being rescued by a group of volunteer rescuers. Ortalani has agreed to give Missy to one of the rescuers Read more

After Two and a Half Years, Lost Dog is Found 1300 miles Away

In 2010 Beth Cole’s Bichon Namme went missing when a gate was left open at her home in Colorado Springs. Just last week someone saw a stray dog walking the streets in Ionia, Michigan and alerted a police officer who took the stray to the Ionia County Animal Shelter.
