holly1Cynthia Castronova came home to find her family home in California had been burglarized on Monday morning. The 15-year-old found the house ransacked. Laptops, electronics, jewelry and other small valuables were missing. Cynthia and her family are most concerned about one valuable that is gone, their five-year-old pug Holly.

Sgt. Kurt Schlehuber of the Pleasanton Police Department said evidence indicates that Holly was stolen and did not just wander off. Jeff Castronova, Cynthia’s father, says Holly is not a dog that just wanders off. She is friendly, affectionate and very obedient.

The family is pleading to whoever broke into their house and stole Holly to please return her.  Cynthia is devastated over the loss of her best friend and is afraid time is running out to find her beloved pug. “Holly is my very best friend, she sleeps with me every night and to go about these days without her is very hard one me,” she said.

Unfortunately Holly was not microchipped.  Cynthia and her sister Jessica have been calling animal shelters everyday hoping that Holly will turn up. Their father is heartbroken, “I just can’t believe people would do this. Violating our house is one thing, but taking our dog is absolutely awful.”
