A Milwaukee couple is heartbroken after their 4 month old pit pull puppy was stolen from them on Christmas eve.  The puppy, named MacGyver was adopted from the Wisconsin Humane Society by Sara and Cory Malchow and they were set to celebrate their first Christmas together.  Sara Malchow was walking MacGryver on Christmas eve when 2 men ran up behind her and did the unthinkable.

“He picked me up from behind, and threw me down to the ground.  I don’t think they necessarily wanted to hurt me, but they definitely went after the dog.,” says Malchow.  The Malchows are terrified by the prospect of be happening to MacGyver given his breed and the nature of the theft.  “Being the breed that he is, it’s hard, you don’t want anything to happen to him cause he was really good,” says Malchow.

The Malchow’s are combing the city, putting up hundreds up fliers, and not giving up hope.  They have also been astounded by the support they are receiving from the community.  Complete strangers are helping to search, putting up fliers, and one woman even created a Facebook page called Bring MacGyver Home to aid the search.  “It makes you sick to think people would take someone’s dog, so I just wanted to help in any way that I could.  Cause if that happened to me I would want a lot of help,” says Chani Schambow.

A cash reward is being offered for his return, and anyone with information should call Milwaukee police, or 414-617-9137.  Help make it a happy new year for the devastated Malchow family, and poor little MacGyver the innocent victim of a terrible crime.
