2.23.13 Shot with ArrowGood news comes for the Georgia dog who was shot with an arrow – she’s going home with her rescuer.

On February 1, Will Peters saw a dog near an intersection that needed immediate medical attention.  He took the Great Pyrenees in to the Hall County Shelter where Dr. Meghan Seabolt  performed surgery to remove an arrow from her back.

She has been in recovery since the surgery.  No one has stepped forward to claim the dog, who has now been named Florence.  Peters has adopted her now that she is healed.

Hall County Animal Control posted signs near the intersection where Florence was discovered to track down her owner and/or the person responsible for her injury.  It is unclear if Florence was shot accidentally or intentionally, but authorities are still searching for the culprit.  Anyone with information is asked to call the shelter at (678) 450-1587.
