On Monday afternoon a 2-year-old black lab was seriously injured in a hit and run and has survived thanks to the help of a Good Samaritan.

On Monday afternoon Bubba was hit by a car in front of a daycare in Hollywood, Florida. The driver drove away leaving Bubba injured and bleeding. “What hurt the most was seeing all of the kids coming out crying,” said Jacquelyn Williams who came to Bubba’s aid. “And there was just blood everywhere.”

Bubba was rushed to an animal hospital where the staff has been working around the clock to take care of him. “He’s got bruised lungs and they’re going to have to heal,” said the doctor treating Bubba. “But we think they can continue to heal on room air rather than on oxygen.” Bubba had to have several staples, including ones on his leg and his head.

Williams wants to make sure Bubba gets the care he needs and is reunited with his owners or finds a new home. Bubba’s bills continue to pile up and Williams is trying to cover them the best she can. If you would like to help you can contact Jacquelyn Williams at 754-423-0443.
