Follow 2Follow is an adorable five month old puppy who was recently given a new life. Just a month ago, he was surviving on his own in the woods. His prospects with such a life were not very good at all. Even his prospects after rescue were not that great, as he was very unhealthy and not used to people, making him the perfect candidate for euthanasia.

Luckily, Follow was found by LifeLine Animal Project, an Atlanta shelter that is committed to seeing a dog brought back to wholeness and rehabilitated.  When he arrived, he was in pretty bad shape. He had a prolapsed rectum and demodex mange, requiring immediate attention.

However, Follow fought his way back to health and learned to love people, something he had not learned out in the wild. Follow was recently adopted and has a wonderful home where he enjoys playing ball in the yard, lots of tummy rubs and sleeping in bed with his new mom.

Lifeline Animal Project is located in Avondale Estates, in Atlanta, Georgia. It is the largest low-cost spay/neuter resource in the region and the provider for more than 50 shelters, rescue groups and spay/neuter assistance programs. They have performed more than 55,000 surgeries to date, targeting the root cause of pet overpopulation.

They also help struggling pet owners by bringing their services to underserved neighborhoods and by hosting bimonthly Pet Wellness Days. In the last two years alone, they have provided over 4,000 free vaccines to companion animals in need and over 2,000 free spay/neuter surgeries.

The rehabilitation program at their no-kill shelter focuses on dogs and cats that others don’t want and who require extra care because they suffer from illness, cruelty or neglect. They are working to make Atlanta a lifesaving community and now manage Fulton County Animal Services, successfully doubling the live release rate there. They will soon also manage Dekalb Animal Services.
