A puppy survived a seven-mile drive trapped beneath the hood of a PT Cruiser. A couple was driving from Hallandale, Florida to Dania Beach when they noticed some engine trouble. After an under-the-hood inspection, they were shocked to find a black pit bull puppy!
The dog had gotten lodged between the steering mechanism and front axle. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue stepped in and extricated the puppy.
“It was literally like an Indy pit crew,” said Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue spokesman Mike Jachles. “This dog must have nine lives.”
Miraculously, the pup was pulled out with “hardly a scratch.”
It is unknown if the dog is a stray or an escape artist, but what is known is that this puppy has one busy guardian angel!
