According to a Boston news report, after two months of extensive search to locate Puppy Doe’s abuser(s), Quincy policy finally have a person of interest in relation to this national animal abuse case.

Tonight, authorities released the suspect’s name, Radoslaw Czerkawski, who was being held in New Britain, Connecticut. He faces 11 charges of cruelty to animals and because extradition was waived he will be trialed and convicted in Massachusetts’ Quincy District Court. (See the press conference.)

“We sent detectives down to speak with him about his involvement with the case,” said Quincy Police Captain John Dougan.

We know Puppy Doe’s abuser burned, beat, stabbed and tortured the innocent animal before she was found around Whitwell Street Playground. Sadly, the dog had to be put down to end her suffering.

The public banned together demanding justice for the innocent pet and a hefty reward was offered, this to entice individuals with information to come forward.

Second Chance Rescue raised $11,000 towards the reward. The California-based Animal Legal Defense League donated $2,000, the Animal Rescue League of Boston offered $5,000, and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals donated another $5,000. The Animal Rescue League collected over $35,000 to use in investigating Puppy Doe’s case as well as many other animal abuse cases.

Czerkawski will be arraigned on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013.

The animal lover community is happy justice is finally being served.

We will continue to be vigilant and bring justice not only for Puppy Doe but also to all other voiceless animals in need of defense.
