dadmomLast month we brought you the story of Stormy, the puppy rescued from a Dallas storm drain. Stormy and his two siblings have been adopted and are now in happy homes, but their parents still need help. After living as strays the two older dogs need socialization and training and Dallas Animal Services is trying to raise the money to send the two dogs to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah.

Stormy and his two siblings are settling in well to their new lives, but their parents are struggling to adjust to life off the streets. The staff at Dallas Animal Services doesn’t have the resources to give the two older dogs the attention and training they need and are turning to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary for help.

Dallas Animal Services have secured two spots for the dogs at the renowned animal rehab facility. It is the largest no-kill animal sanctuary and takes in all types of animals that have had difficult times. Best Friends does everything they can to rehab a dog and find them a home, but if the dog is unable to get to a point of living with a family then they spend their life living at the Sanctuary. The nonprofit sanctuary is well known for taking in 22 of the Michael Vick dogs.

Now Dallas Animal Services just needs to raise the funds to get the two dogs to Utah. Since the dogs are not well trained they do not want to risk a road trip and instead a pilot has agreed to fly the dogs there. Dallas Animal Services just needs to raise the funds for the fuel.
