In three days, the third annual canine couture catwalk event, Haute Dog SF 3, will be held in San Francisco to benefit Muttville Senior Dog Rescue. This premier event will bring together leaders in both the fashion world and rescue world in a unique way.

Haute Dog SF 3 will take place on Friday, February 7th, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., at the San Francisco Design Center, Galleria Atrium, 101 Henry Adams Street in San Francisco’s Showplace Square.

Some of the Bay area’s most prominent interior designers will create outfits for the doggie models to wear down the runway, using fabrics provided by showrooms at the San Francisco Design Center (SFDC), a sponsor of the event, along with the Luxury Marketing Council of San Francisco, Interiors California and San Francisco magazine.

Haute Dog SF 3 will be hosted by local fashion icon and clothier Mr. Wilkes Bashford and will also offer drinks, bites and raffles from Bay Area hospitality sponsors, as well as Posh Pup Lane, a shopping emporium of doggie delights featuring unique pet products, services, specialties and gifts.

Marketing Director, Rhonda Hirata, remarked on the event:

“Our local design community really knows how to ‘put on the dog’-especially a good cause. It’s fascinating to see how the interior designers and SFDC showrooms collaborate to create designer attire for San Francisco’s most stylish of dogs, and highlight this one-of-a kind event to build awareness of the plight of many senior dogs.”

Previous events have been extremely successful, with last year’s event having been sold out! In fact, last year saw more than 700 dog, design and fashion fans show up and more than $40,000 was raised for charity.HauteDog5 (2)

This year, the beneficiary of such money will be Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of senior dogs through rescue, foster, adoption and community. The organization’s founder and director, Sherri Franklin, describes their mission as “to change the way the world thinks about and treats older dogs (aged seven years and older), and create better lives for them through rescue, foster, adoption and hospice.”
