On Feb. 23, 2014, firefighters from Osorno, Chile, came to the rescue of a 1-year-old German shepherd that had its head stuck in between two walls.
The distressed pet spent 24 hours stuck in between the walls and even though his caretakers tried to free him, nothing they did worked.
According to Soy Chile, the German shepherd, along three litter-mates and their mother were being cared for a family friend while their owner was away on vacation. No one imagined the mischievous canine would get in so much trouble.
When hero rescuers arrived at the home, they knew they needed the help of a veterinarian to help the dog. A local vet was called to the home and the professional administered a shot to help the young pup relax and fall asleep.
As soon as the pet was safely subdued, firefighters went to work and carefully released his head from the walls.
As soon as the canine was free, the veterinarian checked him and determined that even though the pup had spent so many hours trapped he was in good health.
The dog was scared but he made a full recovery and went on to play with his siblings as if nothing ever happened.
