When a yellow Lab mix dog named Angel arrived at San Antonio’s Animal Care Services last month, the canine couldn’t walk. It appeared the sweet-nature dog had been the victim of a hit-and-run and the accident injured her hind legs leaving her partially paralyzed.

ACS staff did not want to give up hope that the pet could be helped. They hope a pet wheelchair would enhance her mobility and provide her with better quality of life.

Well, the organization’s wish came true on April 1, 2014, when an anonymous donor dropped off a pet wheelchair for Angel.

Now that the canine has her two all-terrain wheels, she is able to comfortably and safely wheel herself around while using the strength of her front legs.

The only thing Angel needs now is a forever home.

ACS hopes that a family willing to welcome a special needs dog falls in love with Angel and decides to adopt her.

Anyone interested in adopting Angel can contact San Antonio’s Animal Care Services on the website or on their Facebook page.
