4.11.14 - Dying Woman Needs New Family for Dog1

A pit bull mix named Sherlock is losing the person he loves most in this world – his human, Pat.  She has terminal cancer, and wants to make sure that her boy doesn’t have to lose his place in a home, too.  She is hoping that someone (in the Colorado area) will set her mind at ease by promising to make Sherlock a part of their family when her time with him ends.

It breaks Pat’s heart to know she will have to leave her sweetheart behind, but she would feel much better if she knew he would be going to a good home where he will be loved.  She does not want him to end up in a shelter.

Sherlock has been everything to Pat as she has endured painful treatments, so she wants to make sure the favor is returned when she must go into hospice.  She is not in the hospital now, but she knows her days are number.

Sherlock is fully vetted, heartworm negative and is living in Fort Collins, Colorado.  For more information, please contact Jess at [email protected] or by phone at 970-775-0797.

The following things were said about him:

“Sherlock has basic obedience training and is housebroken.  He loves people but has never been around young children.  He loves long walks and cuddling on the couch.  He is such a sweetheart.  Sherlock would do best in a home with no other pets.”

“Well mannered, sweetheart of a boy who can’t comprehend that soon his human will be gone.”
