Amanda Lamb and family of Wichita, Kansas says that their furry family member is missing, and hope the photo on the posters and flyers they have been putting up all over town can help lead them to their missing family member, Rippen.

“He’s not just a dog, he’s part of our family.  My kids call him their brother,” said Lamb.

While she was shopping last week, Lamb had Rippen waiting for her in the car.  The doors were locked, and the windows were only slightly opened to provide a bit of air circulation while she was away from the vehicle.  In about ten minutes, when Lamb looked outside of the store, she could see her car door hanging open, and Rippen was nowhere to be found.

Lamb began her search immediately.  The owner of one of the nearby shops had come out to see what was going on.  The owner of “Closet Junky”, one of the stores in the plaza, said that a couple had come into her store, and were carrying a small dachshund claiming that they had just found him.  They had said that when they left the store and got home, they would try to locate the owners of the dog they just found online.  After talking with Lamb, the store owner shared surveillance photos of the couple to help with the search.

Lamb has said that she used every form of social media available online to try and track Rippen down.  She has also spent more than $200 searching throughout the city and passing out flyers.  Lamb says her family is very distraught over the loss and won’t be whole again until they have their furry family member back.

If you have info on Rippen, or want to know more about him and his family, you can get in touch with the Lamb’s through their Facebook page.
