The idea came from a dog sitting company run out of Maybee, Michigan. They posted this video to their Facebook, and the fans went wild. Now it seems puppy pool parties are popping up all over social media websites, complete with dogs beating the summer heat.
The dog sitters came up with the idea to help the multitude of pooches they had any given day get some much needed relief from the sun. They have dog, their dogs love to swim, why not, right? Judging by the dogs in the video, it was good idea.
They play and splash together, and some seem to have their eyes set on doggy Olympic gold with some of the diving moves on display. Others, prefer to just wade in, and relax.
Yes readers, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. That is a bone shaped pool they are playing in. The video has since gone viral, with over 390,000 views on YouTube alone. Other, similar videos have also hit YouTube this summer, often with some hilarious results.
Puppy pool parties are all the rage this summer. You may even see doggy swim parks opening up in some areas. What lucky dogs!

In Dallas, the day after public pools close, many open their doors for doggy swim, then close up for the season. I took my dog last year and have the scars from her trying to climb out to prove it!
