Miss Babe Ruth, a black lab from North Carolina is hanging up her baseball cap after this 2015 ball season. The dog has pent over a decade as the official “ball-dog” for her home team the Greensboro Grasshoppers minor league baseball team, but it is time to call it quits.

The minor league team and the community will miss her, they say the ball-retrieving dog is more famous than any of its players.

Many worried that with Miss Babe Ruth’s retirement, the position of “ball-dog” would be closed for good, but don’t worry, Babe Ruth’s brother, Master Yogi Berra, and her niece, Lou-Lou Gherig will be taken over her legacy.

Happy retirement Miss Babe Ruth!
