Jack Proctor and his dog Fudge have been together every step of the way to getting a college degree.  Proctor owes a lot of his scholastic success to Fudge, and at graduation time, Fudge got to walk the stage with his human.

Proctor studied at  Edinburgh Napier University.  Fudge was featured in his introductory video for admission, throughout all of the course work, and was a key figure in Proctor’s dissertation.

Proctor said, “He was such a fundamental part of my dissertation that I even mentioned him in the acknowledgement section.  I know it seems eccentric, but Fudge has been part of my journey through uni since day one, so it just feels like a nice way to mark the journey’s end.”

So to mark the momentous occasion, it was decided that Fudge, complete with his own cap and gown, would join Proctor in the graduation ceremonies.

“It’s as much his degree as it is mine.  He put in a lot of work and was really well behaved.  He went above and beyond so it’s really nice to have him with me,” said Proctor.
