This week we told you about Tara, a four-year-old Boxer/Bulldog mix that spent more than half her life living in the Humane Society of Forsyth County (HSFC), Ga., shelter. Well, not long after volunteers posted an imager of the dog along her story on social media, Tara found her forever home.

Two days after her picture went viral, Shana and David Brittain from Normandy, Tennessee, drove to the shelter and officially adopted the dog.

“Tara. Is. Adopted. Shana and David Brittain knocked the HSFC on their rear ends……by loving a dog even before they met her,” posted HSFC on their Facebook wall.

Congratulations to Tara for finding here forever home. Here is hoping other pets who have been waiting long periods of times for their forever homes get adopted too.
