Mixed breed dogs go unnoticed in shelters and adoption events, because many humans who want to own a dog prefer to buy (awful!) or adopt a pure breed dog. It is unfair, we animal lovers know it, but an organization in Peru is hoping to change the minds of future pet owners by showing them that a mixed breed dog is just as good (if not better) than pure breed pets.

Grupo Caridad launched a campaign in October to show Peruvians that stray mixed pooches deserve a loving home as much as the pure breed designer dogs. In a video they produced rescuers dressed various of their stray pooches in costumes and took to the streets to show people those dog deserve love too.

The stray dogs dressed up as Huskies, Poodles, Samoyed and even Dalmatian dogs, and the result was just adorable. These awesome dogs proved the campaign’s slogan:
“I could be as lovable as pure breed dogs.”
