Romashkin met the female stray dog in Puerto Natales, Chile. She was friendly and like many other street dogs, she was looking for a kind gesture and some food. The NASA scientist fell in love with the hairy mixed breed dog and couldn’t leave her on the streets.

Romashkin made all appropriate arrangements to transport the pet back to the Unites States, and once local authorities gave the all clear for the dog to travel, the scientist booked a flight and flew back home with the former stray.

Now the Chilean stray lives a comfortable life in Colorado with her new family.
