When a priest in Bolivia was giving a church service to ask for the health  of children suffering with Cancer, his sermon was interrupted by a street dog who strolled into church. Instead of kicking the dog out, the priest and service attendees welcomed him to their celebration. The four-legged Catholic might have not prayed in the usual posture, but he sure joined in and asked for the children’s health.

The images of the “praying” dog were posted on Facebook by Grupo Caridad. They show a dog very relaxed in the middle of the sermon. The hairy devotee was stretched out in the middle of the church and at one point was belly-up with all four legs in the air.

We can’t really say the dog was praying. He was more of a cute interruption to the sacred service than anything else, but the priest didn’t mind him at all. The dog brought smiles to everyone inside the church and the priest even asked to let the dog be, “he is one of God’s creatures and is happy.”
