Saying goodbye to our pets is hard but it is part of life. Four sisters from Adelaida, Australia, had to say goodbye to their 16-year-old Jack Russell Terrier named Tigger recently, but before they did the group recreated a photograph they took when the dog was just a pup.

The Dobbie sisters posted the “then” and “now” image on Imgur and it went viral.

The pet owners said they were home looking at photos as they waited for their vet to come home and help the elderly and ill dog cross the rainbow bridge. As they reminisced the good times they came across the image and decided to recreate it.

Louise Dobbie told ABC news it was very emotional to pose with their best friend again. They didn’t know if they should cry or smile. This was the last time the five of them would be together.

We want the Dobbie sister to know we are very sorry for their loss. Tigger was a loved member of their family and he will be forever missed.
