This comes from Speranza Animal Rescue:
We rescued Duke from Harrisburg a few months ago. His life spent on a chain.
When I picked him up the woman said he was never socialized , and could be fear aggressive… you could see in his eyes that he had a hard time trusting… on the car ride home that night he was quiet and timid….
Over the past month our boy has blossomed – he knows no strangers – everyone he meets instantly falls in love with his adorable face and floppy ears.
We brought him out at the event this past weekend – we were not sure what to expect.
I saw him numerous times laying on his back for belly rubs – children and others crowding around him – and you could just see the happiness in his face.
I can’t express how proud and amazed I am of this dog – he just goes to show that dogs aren’t broken – they are bruised, and they can heal. ♡
