Sarge has been with his rescue for far too long. They would really like to fulfill his holiday wishes and find him a proper home, but it just hasn’t seemed to happen for him yet. He may be a special needs dog, but that in no way is a limitation for this affectionate, playful pooch.
Let’s see what Releashed Rescue has to say about him:
Have you met Sarge? Â He has been with us for way too long and deserves a home of his own. Â Don’t you agree? Â Sarge is probably one of the best behaved foster dogs we have right now. Â He is extremely cuddly and is happy to watch anything you want on TV as long as he can curl up next to you.
He also loves other dogs. Â Doesn’t matter if he’s at the dog park or just hanging with his foster dog siblings, he’s always ready to play. Â He’s even good with cats!
We’re guessing a lot of people are hesitant about adopting him since he’s partially blind but who cares? He sure doesn’t! Sarge is able to quickly learn and adapt to his new surroundings. Â He may bump into a couple things at first but it doesn’t phase him in the slightest. Â Dogs don’t rely on their vision like people do anyway.
We know it can be daunting to adopt a dog with a disability but we can promise they are some of the most loving, affectionate, loyal, and grateful dogs you will ever meet. Â This is one dog you don’t want to miss out on!
Please help make Sarge’s dreams come true in time for Christmas! Â He is so deserving of a home just as loving and perfect as he is. Â We understand if you can’t adopt but he could use a foster or please share his information to help find him his own forever home!
A little bit about their adoption process:
The first step is to fill out our application which can be found on our website www.releashedrescue.com/adoptionapplication. From there we’ll check the references, including their vet if they currently have any pets. We’ll be in touch with any follow up questions after that and set up a home visit.   As long as we know someone in your area to complete a home visit we have adopted to various states in the US.
All of our dogs are also fully vetted including being spayed/neutered, up to date on heartworm preventative and have been treated if they tested positive, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and we make sure they are generally healthy before adoption.
