Max was rescued from someone that was planning to make use of him in a dog fighting operation.  The Connecticut Coalition for Animals took him out of those horrible conditions, only to find that Max is actually one really great dog!  However, for some reason he’s had to wait for more than 850 days for someone to come and adopt him!

Let’s let Max introduce himself:

HI!  I’m Max!  It’s been 841 days since I was taken from a bad man who had plans to fight me and given a second chance at life with my foster mom.  I hear everyone say what a “good boy” I am and how there is a “really lucky family out there” for me.  So where are they?????  For the past few months I have been living at a kennel getting a little extra attention and training, in hopes that the family I hear about all the time will come…but they haven’t :(.

I love my people at the kennel but I dream of the day that I will have my own dog bed by a fire, next to a family who loves me.

I am about 4 years old, Neutered, Vaccinated and microchipped.  I have coexisted with another dog in the past but I really think it’s best to be by myself.  I tend to get overly excited with them (no small animals please).  I love kids but a bit older would be best.  I have a big butt and can accidentally knock them over 🙂  I enjoy swimming and I LOOOVVE car rides, I’m the best car companion you can ask for.

My foster mom and kennel family would be happy to give you more information about me.  They think I’m pretty great.  I just hope I find a family that thinks I am too.

~❤️~
