The above video from FOX6 News Milwaukee was taken on April 2, when Germantown, WI, police found the dog they called “Chance” tied to a tree in a wooded area — seemingly abandoned.
Well, now, it seems, Chance will find a forever home with a member of the Germantown PD! Not only that, but officers are reportedly “making good progress on identifying the person who abandoned him.”
The dog was found behind a Pizza Hut restaurant near Pilgrim Road and Mequon Road on Sunday afternoon, April 2nd.
After this incident, police are reminding animal owners that if you can no longer care for a pet, you should be kind and turn the pet over to a rescue — as mistreating animals is a crime.
