Life With Dogs, This is my fourth attempt over the past three days to speak with someone or receive a reply by email from your organization. My concerns is regarding the posted article, The lives of innocent dogs are at stake, and time is running out to help, which was originally posted on November 25th. I posted my previous requests in the contact boxes made available, but maybe this will get results. The article contains inaccurate information and the person who posted it irresponsibly lists the phone number advising everyone to contact the City of Monroe, Michigan and the Mayor’s office. This incident occurred in the County of Monroe, not the City of Monroe and the Mayor does not have the authority or jurisdiction to intervene. As a result, the Mayor’s office is unwarrantedly being inundated with contacts. I am again requesting that the Mayor’s contact information be removed. Please read the site comments and you will see that some responders are not pleased that they are receivng misguided information. I would also like to know your organization policy is regard to the fact check of information being posted. You can image how many calls the Mayor’s office has had to address this week. You may want to consider how many people may be less inclined to support your site if determined to post inaccurate information. Two other sites, thepetitionsite and greenheritagenews have removed all references to the City of Monroe and the Mayor’s office following my contact. Also, two persons responding on the site continually re-post the Mayor’s contact information and I would ask they be advised to cease or be blocked. I await your response. Sincerely, Robert E. Clark, Mayor, City of Monroe, Michigan
