Going on vacation should be fun, and planning it should be easy. So, let’s walk through the five steps for booking a pet friendly hotel.
Step 1.
Go to the best pet travel website*: GoPetFriendly.com (*Disclosure: We might be biased.)
Step 2.
There’s a lot of cool stuff on the home page. Don’t be tempted by the the latest titles from the blog or thoughts of brunch with your pooch at a pet friendly restaurant. And, please, don’t even hover over those Twitter and Facebook icons. You’ll be sucked in to having fun in no time! We are here to book a hotel. Pay attention. Stay on task.
Fill in your travel destination and dates. Tell us how many people are in your group, how many rooms you require and the number of pets accompanying you. If you are traveling with a dog that weighs more than 40 pounds, check the “large dog” box. If your kitty is coming, check the “cat” box. Providing us with these details about your travel companions allows us to return only hotels that meet your specific needs. Then, click the “Fetch Hotels” button.
Step 3.
The left column of the search results screen has an overview of the hotels that are available on the dates you’ve selected. You can sort them by Distance, Name, Price, or Popularity. To the right is a map that allows you to view the hotel locations. Hover your mouse over the pins to see the name of each hotel. If the pins are all bunched together, use the + button in the upper left hand corner to zoom in for a closer look.
Under the map is the “Find More Results Nearby” box. Stay away from that! It allows you to quickly see what pet friendly restaurants, activities, and services are close. You’ll get excited and lose focus. We’re here to book a hotel, right?
Finding the best deal is easy at GoPetFriendly.com. The site searches the most popular hotel reservation websites automatically and shows the lowest available rate in the search results. If you’d like to see the prices available at your favorite hotel reservation site, simply click “View All Prices.”
From this screen it’s also easy to write a review about a hotel you’ve visited previously, save a hotel in your favorites, or click to see all the hotel’s details. We’re famous for collecting a detailed, uniform pet policy for each hotel. Just click “Pet Policy” under the hotel’s address and this pops up:
Step 4.
When you find a hotel that piques your interest, take a closer look by clicking on “Complete Details, Reviews and Rates.
From this page you can read a description of the hotel, check out rates, and take a gander at the photos. The green tabs offer another look at the hotel’s pet policy, a listing of the amenities offered, and any reviews posted by other GoPetFriendly.com users.
Step 5.
Pull the trigger! Once you’ve decided where you want to stay, go to that hotel’s details page and click the icon of the reservation website you prefer.
You will be whisked away to the booking site to complete your reservation. That’s it!! That’s all there is to it! It seems so easy, right?
