In 2010 Beth Cole’s Bichon Namme went missing when a gate was left open at her home in Colorado Springs. Just last week someone saw a stray dog walking the streets in Ionia, Michigan and alerted a police officer who took the stray to the Ionia County Animal Shelter. The shelter scanned the dirty, underweight stray for a microchip and Beth Cole’s contact information came up.
A 5-year-old Belgian Malinois name Rogue is being called a “wonder dog” by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency. Rogue works with CBP to search parcels at the Chicago International Mail Branch near O’Hare International Airport.
T’Chen, a dog who was lost in Hurricane Isaac, is currently being taken care of by the Humane Society Animal Shelter in Geneseo, Illinois. T’Chen was rescued in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Thanks to the help of Facebook T’Chen’s owner has been located, now she needs help getting back to her home in Baton Rouge.
A bill that would raise the penalty for certain animal cruelty offenses in New Jersey was approved by The Senate Economic Growth Committee on Thursday. This is the first step for the bill to become a law. Known as “Patrick’s Law”, the bill is named for the Pit Bull that inspired it.
