Back in July, Lalu Village, Hetuo Township, Dingxi, China, was hit by a powerful earthquake. In the aftermath, the town experienced devastating landslides and among many of the survivors trapped in the destruction was a dog.

This brave dog survived more than three days trapped under wooden beams and stones. His only lifeline was the accumulating rain water he drank from.

Seventy-seven hours after the earthquake hit Dingxi, China, rescuers arrived, and the dog patiently awaited his own rescue.

Once free, the dog was given food and water. He had an injured left paw and rescuers treated it as well.

From information gathered from different sources it is believed the dog’s owner (pictured above) survived the earthquake as well. We are glad to see that after 77 hours trapped, the dog had a familiar face to run to.
