At Life With Dogs, we don’t advocate breeders. There are millions of animals in shelters, thousands being put to death daily while people breed animals for money. But this little girl is just too cute to go unnoticed!

Valerie is a Jack Russell-Chihuahua mix born who was born with a heart-shaped patch of fur on her side.

“It is just so obvious you can’t miss it. I have never seen anything like it before,” said owner Joanne Boardman.

Valerie will be temporarily sharing her Newcastle-under-Lyme home with 25 other dogs, including 12 other puppies. Joanne and Dave Boardman also have five Chihuahuas, a poodle, a Jack Russell, a Great Dane, a British bulldog, a Yorkshire terrier and two Yorkie mixes.

But the stay in her UK home may not be fore long, and the Boardmans may be forced to find a new home for her.

“Because of the number of dogs we have I don’t think we will be able to keep her,” Joanne said.

“I’d like to keep her, but I don’t think I will be able to persuade my dad,” said daughter Stacey. “We keep in touch with all the people who have had a puppy off us and usually they come back for another one. We always make sure they are going to a good home.”

Finding a good home for Valerie should be no problem. After all, who could resist a puppy who wears her heart on her slee- uh, fur?
