Roy was on deployment when he found out the caregiver of his dog, Rick, was no longer able to care for him. Roy turned to Dogs on Deployment for help, where he found a DoD Boarder in Jessica and her family in Williamsburg, Virginia. Rick was with them for 5 months while Roy completed his deployment in Afghanistan.
On Friday Dec 13, 2013 Rick and Roy were reunited. It was a very exciting, happy, and emotional reunion for all.
