Doggy Pool Parties Becoming all the Rage

They play and splash together, and some seem to have their eyes set on doggy Olympic gold with some of the diving moves on display. Others, prefer to just wade in, and relax.

The idea came from a dog sitting company run out of Maybee, Michigan.  They posted this video to their Facebook, and the fans went wild.  Now it seems puppy pool parties are popping up all over social media websites, complete with dogs beating the summer heat.

The dog sitters came up with the idea to help the multitude of pooches they had any given day get some much needed relief from the sun.  They have dog, their dogs love to swim, why not, right?  Judging by the dogs in the video, it was good idea.

    1. give them time… they are just unsure. they learn from other dogs. they will learn to love it… all mine did!

  1. At the end of the season two of our local YMCA’s have Yip & Dips as a fundraiser. You pay like $5 per dog to let them swim and play.

  2. Our Parks dept (in western ky) invites local doggies to swim in the public pool on the day before they close it for the season! I have not made it there yet, but someday… gotta find out if my newest little girl CAN swim, first ; )

  3. Close to where I live one of the local cities opens up their wading pool for the last weekend of the season for the dogs.

  4. I love this idea.
What a good idea to put in a dog park. In Austin, Tx there’s a lot of dog parks and they have running creeks or streams in them and the dogs love it.

  5. My German Shepherd is utterly fearless, until it comes to teenage pool parties! One look at the kids shrieking and trying to “drown” one another, and he goes and hides behind my legs, lol!

  6. Our local humane society has a pool party for a fund raiser. The last day the local public pool will close & have a dog party. Hundreds show up & have a blast!

  7. In Dallas, the day after public pools close, many open their doors for doggy swim, then close up for the season. I took my dog last year and have the scars from her trying to climb out to prove it!
