Dogs on the Move posted the photo and the following info on their Facebook page on September 10th:

CALLING ALL ANGELS!

Very early this morning, Teresa Donnelly pulls into the MDAS [Miami Dade Animal Services] parking lot to go to work and this is what she encountered…

Out of the corner of her eye, she spots a Tupperware container with the lid snapped shut. Something about that container made her venture closer. When she opened it, she found this sweet little dog inside. She looks to be a Yorkshire terrier and is NOT a youngster. They are estimating she is about 10 years old.

She popped up and out all wet from head to toe.

It’s 90 degrees outside here in Miami! You put a dog in a container, dump it into the parking lot of MDAS and snap the lid shut???? Who the [email protected]@L does this???

A rescue must come forward and help this dog get out of MDAS. She deserves to live out the rest of her life in a caring, loving home. This is not the way this girl should end up.

Thank you so much Teresa. You always do everything you can to ensure the safety and well-being of the animals of Miami.

She has been named Gabriel and his ID number is A1642884

Please do not LIKE this post without sharing. We need everyone to see it. The more people that see Gabriel, the better the chance that she can get out through the front door.

Now little Gabriel needs to be rescued again – this time, by a forever family.  If you would like to adopt her, please click here or call 305-884-1101.

  1. This is how I see it: a person could not keep the dog so they put the dog in the container so it would be safe & not run away. After all this person dropped the dog in the parking lot of the animal shelter. This person could have thrown the dog out the window of a car on the highway. Let’s see the other side of things. There are a lot of evil people out there, but I don’t think this is it.

  2. Unacceptable…..I would invite US folks to be a apart of my family if there are no takers…..«we are in Canada so let me know. have a cat , one jack russell and a border collie mixé

  3. What the hell is wrong with people! Karma is a bitch. I hope the person who did this suffers horribly some day

  4. She looks just like my deceased fathers dog Duke. Bring her to me in oregon and she will live happily ever after. I don’t care how old she is.

  5. Please keep us updated on this little love nuggets status. I’m pretty sure there are quite a few of us here who would move mountains to make sure she finds a safe and loving forever home. xoxo

  6. Really sandy marino allis?? U have got to be kidding me??!!! U really think that this is ok? Maybe we should put u in a tupperware container and see how u like it u freaking dumbass!

  7. If out-of-state adoption is allowed, I’ll adopt her. She’d be a welcomed addition to our 2 fur babies, a shih tzu and a yorkie (puppy mill rescue)!

  8. Sandy Marino Allis… seriously? How about those poor hard up people have the guts to take the dog into the shelter and hand her over rather than put her in a plastic box and leave her a car park? If you think this is an acceptable way of giving up a dog you’re as bad as they are. It’s shameful.
