Trained Rescue Dog Saves Kid from Drowning, but the Kid Didn’t Need Saving

This rescue dog saw a child in the water and thought it would be best for the child to be out of it and safe on dry land.

Trained dogs save lives, but once in a while the dogs put into practice their skills when they are not needed.

Take for example this life guard dog. He saw an unattended child in the water and thought the kid was in distress. Naturally, the pet jumped into action to saved the kid. The problem was the child didn’t need to be rescued.

The underage swimmer had a life jacket on and his parents were nearby watching him, but the rescue dog thought it would be best for the child to be out of the water.

Watch the funny rescue.

  1. Awww god bless this dog he didn’t even mind that the poor child was clinging to his fur for dear life lol funniest face tho (what the hell is going on)

  2. The kid is like I don’t need you to save me LOL The dog was so cute – he rushed in and saved the day for no reason!

  3. My dog stresses out when anyone is in the water. She will cry and then swim out to make sure we are ok. At family gatherings at the beach…..she is a basketcase.

  4. But what if the child did need saving. The dog did what he was trained to do. Bless both the boy and the dog.

  5. Trained? If it were trained it would listen to the command DROP. That child looks terrified, whilst everyone is just laughing. How awful.

  6. Some people are so uptight! The dog was just trying to help. He wanted to make sure the kid was safe on dry land. He wasn’t killing the kid!!!

  7. Good dog, and in a real life rescue situation the dog rocks, kudos. But for being in a “training” scenario, or not a real rescue scenario, he was disobedient. Probably responding to the laughter, thinking that meant he should go on. Needs more strict training, but I’d let him drag my terrified butt by a lifevest wrapped around my neck if it meant I would live another day.
