Cricket, a 6 year-old miniature poodle puppy mill survivor who was rescued by National Mill Dog Rescue, is out of the cage and she is now free to dance!

On December 8, Cricket’s FOSTER mom shared an incredibly cute video and wrote: “Cricket is doing great, she is learning how to use the doggie door and is slowly learning the leash. She has really come out of her shell and has started to play and run. One of Cricket’s favorite things is attention. She has started to dance just to let me know that it is time for snuggles. Cricket is ready for her forever home.”

Cricket’s adoption listing biography told about this sweet girl, and read: “Hello! Cricket here. My name sure fits because when I get excited I like to Hummmm and Sing. I am looking for the love of my life, literally. I have a lot of love to give to everyone two-legged and four-legged. My favorite place is with my human and I am usually attached at the hip and even under feet just to be with you. I love attention, snuggles, lap time, play time and going places with my human family. I ride well in a car and I am a low flight risk once we bond. I would do well with someone who can take me to work with them or be with me most of the time. Aside from my desire to be in good company I am fairly low maintenance. I am learning to use a doggy door but I still need to be reminded to go out. I have not mastered the leash yet. Will you teach me? I’m also starting to find my play and I will run around like crazy and make you laugh! If you are looking for adoration beyond your wildest dreams and can offer the same to me then we would make a great pair! Let the love begin!”

After Cricket’s dancing video was shared at the National Mill Dog Rescue Facebook page, offers to adopt her flooded in and the rescue group eventually stopped taking applications to adopt her. Her adoption listing has since been removed.

Here is Cricket, dancing in a moment of pure fun and joy:
