Florida Shelter Dogs Won’t Leave Without Each Other

Their undying devotion to one another is heartwarming.

An unlikely yet adorable couple, these two refuse to be separated.  When someone tried to adopt Lil Man, the Chihuahua, he gator rolled and slipped his collar to get back to his girlfriend, Brandi!

Brandi and her boy toy Lil Man are currently residing at the Escambia County Animal Shelter in Pensacola, Florida.  Not much has been made known about these two online, other than their undying devotion to one another.

Here is their information:

  1. charities and the historical failure of animal research, what charities will never tell you, on my youtube.com/ms4mula1 (sorry about going off topic).

    1. They have a cot, have actual towels or blankets and have more space than I’ve seen at many other shelters. I’d say they’re in a pretty decent place, as far as shelters go. Most don’t offer cots or towels whatsoever. I agree they are precious!

    2. i agree! you think since they were taking pictures that were being posted, they could have had their kennel at least clean!!

  2. … Oh, these two should definitely NOT be separated — they are an unusual pair even at first look, if one could tell by that. Somebody wonderful has to step up and recognize a couple of special dog friends … the best of luck, little ones.

    1. why don’t you take them and give them a good home , you seem like a kind and caring person, with love for the dogs

  3. Please, someone, adopt these two adorable, loving dogs. They love each other and have found comfort together. I live in Hawaii, otherwise I would be headed their way.

  4. If I didn’t have my 2 bulldogs at home (they are a hand full), I’d drive to FL and get these two! ADORABLE!

That kennel is dirty – they shouldn’t have to walk on their own feces and urine. Sad.

  5. I wish I can give both these dogs a good home, but I just saved one from the dog pound and have no room for anymore. I hope this article is enough for someone to give these dogs a good life.

  6. These two stay together because they are the only family they know. You wouldn’t separate a family when they are happy right where they are at? Just wait, someone will want both. If you are looking for a dog for your home these two will surprise you. LIL MAN is a watch dog, nothing moves around him that he doesn’t hear or see and lets everybody know about and BRAINDI IS THE GAURD DOG , when LIL MAN tells her there is something going on around them BRAINDI is the one that lets her presents be known and will deal with the problem, keeping everyone safe. Take them both and you will have the best security anybody can get or buy.

  7. Sweet Mary, YES, their kennel is dirty…have any on of you ever worked in a shelter situation? Dogs pee and poop in their kennels…get over it! Why not try to help get them adopted and shut up about the kennel?

  8. How on earth did they end up together….they are sooo freaking adorable. Hoping a rescue or foster can get them out together until a home for them both can be found.

  9. OMG en zo mooi maar ook triestig omdat ze ook in een asiel zitten. Zoals zoveel dieren, veel te veel belanden daar.

  10. Hopefully they can be adopted together.

My girls have a love/hate relationship. The mini foxy is dominant over the chi. The chi is a rescue and refuses to be separated from the mini foxy.

  11. So sad. They will be heartbroken if separated! Every dog should have a happy home. I hate hearing this!

  12. Obviously they feel secure with one another and should be adopted together. Angels watching over these adorable adoptables and their future family.

    1. They cannot contact you…I hope you get this to contact them. 🙂

  13. I pray they get adopted together… There must someone out there with a heart big enough for two lovable dogs!

  14. Hope they find a loving home together!! In the meantime I hope whoever is taking care of them will kindly keep their quarters clean. Poor pups.

  15. I love it…Thank you for Sharing. We have a pit and chihuahua and they do the exact same thing!! <3 <3
