Siblings – when one has something cool, the other one always wants it.  Indy figured out a way to get her annoying little sister Boo to keep her teeth off her favorite bone.

“Please excuse the awkward leg in the shot, I didn’t want to move, distract them, and have them stop being cute!”

  1. So cute, I love how the corgi returned and tried to entice the big sister with the plastic bone, and how the big sis cleverly reassured her it is a prized bone!

  2. Our Corgi loves tug-of-war more than anything, and that head toss looked so familiar! I think he wanted his sibling to try and grab it from him so he could tug some more.

    1. I think you are correct.

My dogs enjoy having their siblings try to take their toys away.

They resort to poking each other with toys in order to arouse interest and begin the “game.”

Occasionally I will be the recipient of the toy-poke, and it is expected that I will accept the role of tug-partner.

This seems not too different from dogs’ wanting their humans to toss their toys away so that they can be retrieved, brought back, and tossed away again. (Sometimes tugging behavior is mixed within games of toss.)

  3. It looks as though someone has groomed a Corgi more than once. I was surprised that it was the larger dog that did the bait and switch since I had Corgi littermates who were little aces at the same thing.
