Man Shows us all How to Respect our Elder Dogs

Everyone deserves respect. Even our senior dogs.

Respect is something we all deserve, man and animal alike.  This respect seems to extend to our elders doubly so.  This man loves and respects his senior dog so much, he fashioned a storage box into a dog cart, so he could still go for walks with his best friend.

The dog in the homemade box-cart is called Pao.  He is 16 years old, so if one human year is equal to seven dog years, Pao is 112!

His human, Ootsuki has such great love and respect for his canine buddy he decided Pao should be ale to relax a bit more. He built Pao a wheeled box, so instead of having to walk everywhere, Ootsuki pulls him around.

Dogs that make it to Pao’s advanced age often have hip and joint issues.  We’re positive that Pao really appreciates being able to get some fresh air, but doesn’t have to put such a strain on himself to do so.

Ootsuki says it’s all about respect.  He lives his life by the motto, “Try to be as nice a person as your dog thinks you are.”  Maybe if we all did that a bit more, the world would be a better place.

  1. What a wonderful thing he is doing for his companion! Wish more people would respect ALL animals as much as he respects his “buddy”.

    1. That what I was thinking too. The train guy and this guy are wonderful people with a heart of gold for dogs. Great story!

  2. I had to cry. Least I could do.Its been only a month since my old pal has passed. I put him out on the deck in the shade so he could still sniff the wind.

  3. She has a makeshift cooler on wheels she tides in when she gets tired. Which has gotten more and more over the last year. But she has to get out and see the world too. Not lay a.in a corner and die. She needs the fresh air.

  4. You, sir, are an angel on earth..what a lucky pup to have you as an owner…my dear Bonita was 18yo when she died earlier this year. I would put her on a chair and hold the food bowl up to her mouth so she could eat and hold the water bowl for her also..when she was not able to stand up in the yard I knew it was time to let her go peacefully.

  5. My 15 year old Foxie Bear loved her stroller rides for her last few years, she loved joining me and my other two dogs on our daily walks even though her arthritis kept her from walking long distances on her own. She passed away last week after a wonderful life of service.. Her job was to put people at ease and bring smiles to their face.

  6. I’m so glad I’m not alone in this lol. My 10 year old Boxer who couldn’t walk anymore had her own pram and we used to walk for miles, well i did anyways lol. We made so many friends as people who were amazed by the sight of us would stop for a chat. Dharma has passed now but i think those last few stroller years were her finest lol

  7. This is priceless, adorable and fabulous! Thank you, Poa’s owner, for such deep love and caring for your dog. He certainly deserves the kindness and love you are giving him! You an Angel who is blessed many times over, I am sure! ❤️ ❤️
