Pirate the pit bull is a shelter dog with a special buddy called Jacob. Jacob is a six-year-old autistic boy who loves dogs. Once a week, Jacob comes to read to him, and Pirate LOVES the special time he gets to spend with his friend.
Jacob knew that Pirate would not be staying with the shelter forever, and he was just recently adopted. Jacob only had one thing to say: “Be happy at your new home!” Jacob is happy that his friend has a loving forever home with a family that promises to take care of him for the rest of his life. In fact, Jacob and Pirate were jumping with joy together when he was given the news.
