Poor Sissy! She’s been waiting so long now for a forever family to bring her home, and it just hasn’t happened for her yet. That’s a really long time for anyone to be waiting for love, but she still believes that it will happen for her one day! She’s been with her rescue, Friday’s Rescue Foundation out of Groton, Connecticut since 2013!  Since she was about three years old! Could Sissy be the dog YOU’VE been WAITING for?
Let’s let Sissy introduce herself:
My name is Sissy, I am an 8-year-old, large terrier mix.  I love to lounge around on my soft bed and wait for some belly rubs.  I have a very gentle disposition, if I took treats from your hand any softer you wouldn’t know I was there!
I get along with all types of people, but would rather keep company with only the 2 legged creatures of the world. Â I have lived in shelters my entire life and would rather spend my time at a house waiting for those belly rubs, but I would rather if someone was home often because I get sad and scared when left alone. Â I need some patience and love so that I can trust you to come back when you do leave! I walk perfect on a leash and would love to show you!
Because Sissy is a senior that has been in our shelter for over 3 years she is eligible to go home as a foster for 30-60 days before adoption. Â She is a wonderful, sweet, low energy girl that would love to be with a retired, work at home, stay at home type family.
Sissy is spayed, up to date on shots, and microchipped.
