Good day, Life With Dogs readers!  We have a really great LWD Adoptable Dog of the Day, today.  Her name is Annabelle, and she comes to us from our friends at Val’s Pals GSD and Large Paw Rescue out of Katy, Texas.  She’s a young dog, being only two years old.  However, if you were willing to put in a little effort into training her, she could be truly amazing!

Let’s let Val’s Pals introduce Annabelle:

My name is Annabelle and I am the sweetest girl you will ever meet.  I had a rough start in life and was picked up by Harris County after being hit and injured by a car.  Val’s Pals rescued me and found me a foster home with a little boy and lots of other dogs.

The doctors think that I am about a year and a half to two years old, in people years.  I had surgery for my injuries and it was a success!  I can walk and run with no issues, even though I have a cute sideways waddle at times.  The doctor does want to check me one more time but I don’t mind because I love to ride in the car and spend time with people.

After my foster mom moved, I got a new foster home.  I am unstoppable with my new foster sister.  We like to run laps around the shed in the back yard, go for walks around the neighborhood, and I particularly like stealing her toys right out of her mouth.

I am very good at walking on a leash and don’t pull my foster parents at all.  When I meet other dogs, I like to talk to them and I know some people get scared at that.  It’s just my way of saying hello.  I am also kennel trained and love having treats for any reason at all.

My foster dad has been working on learning simple commands but I am a little stubborn sometimes and just want to play!  My foster family has 3 cats that I like to poke with my nose but I don’t understand why the cats don’t like that.  I don’t chase them and have always been gentle, even if they tried to scratch me.

My beautiful silver coat sets me apart from other dogs and I get compliments wherever I go.  I admit that I love having attention from everyone and anyone.  I have yet to meet a stranger.  You should meet me and see how much I love those head scratches!
