Well, it’s Monday, which means the weekend is over. However, our quest to find forever homes for deserving dogs everywhere continues on. We have a new LWD Adoptable Dog of the Day, and she is called Dona. Dona comes to us from our friends at the Virginia German Shepherd Rescue out of Centerville. They tell us Dona is a great dog, and is just dying to have a forever family.
Let’s let Dona introduce herself:
Hello, my name is Dona.  My foster mom says I’m a sweet, pretty girl.  I’m 3 1/2 years old and I love belly rubs. I can’t see very well.  My foster mom says I have pannus – whatever that is.  She puts this stuff in my eyes twice a day and I take it like a champ.  She says I’m a good girl. Â
When I’m in a new environment or meet new people I get a little scared until I get used to the noises and people.  Once I’m comfortable, I like to be petted, especially belly rubs.
Dona is special needs. Â She will require daily eye drops for her pannus forever. Â I am learning more about her every day as her personality continues to blossom. Â I will update as I learn more about this special girl. If you have room in your heart and home for this sweet loving special needs girl and are an approved adopter, please email me at [email protected].
