Spunky Suzie Q is 10 years young, full of life and looking for someone to share it with.
She’s enjoying her time with the Watauga Humane Society in Boone, NC, but life wasn’t always so easy.

Suzie ended up in rescue after being seized from a neglectful home in a nearby North Carolina county. Her owner had abandoned her — along with nine other animals — leaving them with no food, water or care. Suzie was malnourished and weak when she was found, but she accepted help and has bounced back beautifully.

Now healthy, Suzie Q will be getting a nice dental cleaning and all her geriatric bloodwork done thanks to a grant from the Grey Muzzle Organization and will be all ready for her forever family when they come to find her.

Suzie loves being social and spends her days thusly, playing with lots of other dogs in daily sessions. She loves the doggie pool best of all! She gets lots of walks during the day and loves adventuring through the woods with visitors and volunteers. She has a nice life, comparatively, at WHS, but she deserves a permanent loving home in which to spend the rest of her days.
